Editorial Review: We'll pay you $50.00 to review our website
As the editor of RestaurantBizOps.com, it seems wise to attempt as much feedback as possible from you, the user of www.RestaurantBizOps.com. So instead of a newsletter this month I have written this appeal to solicit your honest input. RestaurantBizops.com is growing at double digit percentages each month. We are getting ready to launch Phase II. I really believe you can help make this next phase even more successful for us both.
I would be greatly honored if you would simply “reply” to this email newsletter with your feedback. Any sort of quick feedback is appreciated, but for the first ten people who take the time to sincerely give me some substantial feedback it would be my pleasure to send you a $50.00 gift certificate to the restaurant of your choice.
So here goes..
Experience Using the Service Generally
How was your experience in using this service? As you know, completing a Search or posting a standard listing is free. Were you able to Search or List a Restaurant Opportunity easily? Is there anything we could do to make this process even easier? If you were my business partner what improvements would you make? What do you like best about the website? What do you like least? Does it matter that you can search for or list both restaurant businesses and site locations like "conversions" of free standing restaurant improved buildings and land?
Experience Posting a Listing(s)
For those of you who have posted listings of restaurant opportunities, are you getting any results? Are you getting leads, calls, e-mails? Even though a standard listing is free, I believe you are in fact making an investment with us in posting a listing by simply spending the time to post a listing. Would you invest this time again? Is it worth the time to post a listing and update listings? What if you had to pay for listings? What is the service worth? Is it better to pay one fee for multiple listings per month? Is it better to pay a larger one time only fee per listing?
Is becoming a Premium Account Holder in order for your listings to appear first in search results worth $39.95 per month for any number of listings? Should we charge more, less, or differently all together?
Would it be worth money to you to have a unique e-mail exclusive to your listing that goes out to prospects who have Saved a Search that matches your particular listing parameters? This could result in “reaching out” to prospects with your specific listing. I can add this feature if the demand is there. Would you want to have an e-mailing promoting your specific listing if this tool was available?
Experience Searching for Opportunities and Saving a Search
One of the greatest tools at RestaurantBizOps.com is the ability to Save a Search with a unique name. Once you Save your Search you will be notified about future listings that match what you are looking for by e-mail. For those of you who have saved a Search, are you returning to the site to check the new listings that match the parameters of your Saved Search after you have been notified? Did you know you could Save a Search? Is this a valuable tool?
Experience Using the Reports Tool
As you know, the report feature can give you the number times your listing(s) "Matched" a Search and the number of times your listing(s) were "opened up" for details. Would you like to see any other reports? Are you using the reports as they are?
Would it be fair to charge for the number of times your listing(s) were "Opened Up to Learn More" , instead of a monthly fee?. Then you would only pay for performance. You would only pay if someone was interested enough in your listing that they actually clicked on it to "Learn More". This is called "pay for performance". Is this a good idea if we go to a fee paid model?
Added Values You Would Like to See
Lastly, is there any added values that you would like to see in the site? Would you like to see an online bookstore of all the best books to order about buying or selling a restaurant business? What about books specific to restaurant real estate? Would you like to see links to the top education sites about restaurant business brokerage or restaurant real estate? Would you like to see links to all the sites where you can post a restaurant opportunity listing or search for a restaurant business or site? (In other words all my competitors - so you would have one place to go to link to many sites where you could post listings, most of which are paid listings?) Would you like listings of financing sources? Would you like to see a national directory of business brokers and restaurant real estate specialists? Are there any other added values you would like to see?
Thank you for taking the time. I really do appreciate any input, however small – and yes, I am serious about the $50.00 gift certificate. All I ask is that you give me substantial feedback that you have thought about, not feedback for purposes of getting $50.00.
Sincerely,
Jack
